Smartedge is the easy way to create neat, shaped or straight lawn borders, it uses its patented A-Frame design to bind itself into the roots of the lawn itself as the grass grows through it, forming a permanent, structural, and maintenance-free barrier which you can mow straight over, right to the edge.
Being totally flexible it will fit any shaped lawn edge and once installed, removes the need to continually maintain lawn borders.
Made from UV and frost proof polypropylene it will not crack or fade.

I was sold this product after viewing the installation video which made it appear relatively simple. However if you are unfortunate to live in an area as I do where the soil contains a lot of stones, some as large as a clenched fist, the securing pins are useless as they bend whenever they encounter a stone. After spending more than a frustrating half an hour getting nowhere with them I resorted to going to B&Q and purchasing zinc passivated approx 2/3 the length of the plastic pins and secured every clip which appeared to provide adequate fixing. As an aside the use of Parcelforce as the delivery contractor was a disaster. It took 9 days for the delivery from the depot, a total of 80 miles from my address, better using DPD. To conclude whilst I have some negative points the product itself is very good.
Really sturdy and it was easy to put a 50m roll in place in stony soil. Easy enough to make a fairly small radius curve where needed. Much stronger than cheaper and flimsier alternatives that rip easily.
Used this to create 6 semicircular areas along the lawn edge. It was easy to cut, shape and install. Looks great, thank you!
Yet to use as still laying slabs in garden but about to use once ground softens with the rain. Look forward to laying as it look sturdy enough for the job. Plus I can cut it where I have straight lines/ corners. Unlike metal products which I also have.
I created a curvey borders round my garden and produce large flower beds. But realised that I required a permanent edge to keep that sharp and neat look. After a lot of research I decided to but the smart edge system. I must say what a brilliant purchase took me 2 days as I have a large garden so required 50 metres. Also repaired the parameter of the lawn while shaping. Greenfingers also delivered the item within 4 days. Thanks Greenfingers for supplying this to me.
This product is excellent especially for creating curves which many edging products don't do! would also like to mention that I ordered this during the coronavirus lockdown and yes is was very late arriving but I was kept informed and up to date with the progress of my order a big well done to this company and its staff these are not easy times and they are handling things very professionally.
