This Poppyforge Buckingham Arch - Phosphate Prime is ornate in its own right but looks fantastic when covered in climbing plants. The sturdy arch is weather resistant and is coated in polyester powder paint to prevent rusting.
After buying another cheaper arch for my garden then spending another 40 trying to make it more stable I decided I wanted something more solid. I had spent a lot of time researching as this arch was going into soft ground. It also needed to be strong enough to hold climbing roses. It arrived very quickly. In 2 boxes. This arch is solid and heavy. I put it together by myself. Just got my son to help me put it in position. My garden is very exposed and often windy. It hasn't budged. I love it. Its beautiful and makes a lovely entrance to my seating area at top of the garden.
I bought this to replace a cheaper arch that buckled after a couple of years. The difference in quality is huge. This one is strong, thick and sturdy and should last for years. Easy to assemble and install. Looks great! Really happy with purchase.
Ordered arch to replace old one. Goods arrived on time. Easy to put together and put in place. Good sturdy arch and excellent condition.
I bought this arch to replace a wooden one which had eventually rotted away. I bought on line and was verry pleased with the quality and solidness of the ach when delivered. Made of solid metal and with a nice powder coat paint finish. Took a little time to erect as I decided to bolt it onto york stone slabs rather than used the spikes provided. Well pleased with the finished job and now deciding what to plant over it.
Love our new arch! Had spent ages looking on line for a robust and strong arch and this was definitely the best one I found! It arrived nice and secure in two big boxes ahead of the delivery date. Was really simple and fast to assemble by attaching the top curves of the arch to the sides and when it was assembled was very heavy, needed two people to lift it into place. We didnt use the included robust spikes as we were mounting the arch on brick pillars either side of steps leading down from the patio. It looks lovely framing the steps and is a good looking, quality feature in the garden. Extremely pleased with the arch - can imagine it will last for years and years as it is so solid and heavy duty. The powder coating is handy too, means we wont need to paint it for a good few years. I plan to grow wisteria over it!
I wanted an arch to replace a cheap one we had put in the garden to see if we liked the look. I opted for this solid metal one so I wouldn't have to replace it for a long, long time. It's certainly solid, needing some serious heft to carry the two boxes it came in down the garden. On putting it together I discovered that, where the upright sections met the top, some of the metal was a bit bent, which worried me as I thought it would leave a gap. However, as I tightened the bolts the gap closed up. Following the instructions I hammerited the bolts after tightening, along with the spikes and any bits that looked like the powder coating hadn't quite taken (just a couple of small bits). Like another reviewer I postcreted the whole thing in and now have a very sturdy and attractive arch for my honeysuckle and clematis to grow up. I think it'll see me out :-)
