I took it easy and put this up over 3 days mostly on my own but needed help over about an hour to put the legs on and move it into position. I found the instructions very clear and everything was delivered with no damage - the delivery company was very good as others have said. In my set there were extra bolts, washers and screws which was useful. Very pleased with the gazebo- it looks great and has just survived overnight gales with some very strong winds. So 5 stars from me and roll on better weather.
Seems a good quality gazebo. The 80mm bolts were missing, but the extra 70mm ones in the pack were just long enough to bolt the uprights together. Also one larger washer was missing to bolt it to our patio, but we used two of the thinner ones instead and that worked. Took three people a day to put up. Quite heavy, so not a one person job. Instructions clear, but needed concentration, and methodical working. I liked the fact that there were covers for all the bolts, which gave a neat finish. Very pleased with it so far, good to have some permanent shade. Good size to fit a table and chairs under. Comes in one large box, but delivery people were very good in putting it near where it was to be erected.
This is the second Palram gazebo we have purchased they are without doubt excellent value for money, They are easy to assemble and extremely strong when built. A worthy addition to any garden.Green fingers were the best price around and the order was sent promptly, I would recommend both.
We have had our patio relaid and purchased this permanent gazebo to replace temporary ones that we replaced virtually every year. A decision that has proved to be a good one. We are very happy with the gazebo which looks great and will provide a sheltered area for future bbqs. All our friends like it too!
Ordered this last week, was delivered within 3 days and took an afternoon for 2 of us to put up start to finish. It's very substantial and seems well made. Instructions are easy. It's just what I wanted. Somewhere to park the campervan over winter months and use for dining out in the summer. It fits perfectly at the end of my terraced house and is 2.1m at the eves so requires no planning regulations. I've put a shed up to one side of it so I have a weather proof area to do DIY tasks too. Looks the part and is functional. My one request would be that you can choose the roofing colour as I would have liked the option to have clear pvc to let in more light. Likely in summer we may well be grateful of the shaded area, not sure yet. Overall pretty happy so far.
‘Our patio extends from a 22’-wide south-facing conservatory and needed shading. A conventional pull-out awning was not an option as the conservatory facia could not support the weight of such an awning. The Palram Martinique gazebo provided the solution. The order was placed on a Wednesday, delivery was notified for the following Monday but due to a problem with the courier it didn’t arrive until the Friday. The packaging was excellent with plenty of bubble-wrap protecting the powder-coated metalwork. The assembly instructions were IKEA-style pictograms but easy to follow. The roof assembly can be done single-handedly and only 30-minutes’ worth of additional help is need to attach the legs. A point to note is that if the curtain supports are to be added as in Instruction 10, the long-sided grooves need to be plugged with Blu-Tack, otherwise the plastic fittings slide out when the assembly is raised. Don’t be tempted to fit the roof panels at ground level. To fit the panels properly, the roof frame needs to be secured at 90° angles, otherwise the panels will not fit. While the quality appears excellent, a proper judgement cannot be made until after several years use and a few gales! Palram’s customer service is excellent however. One pack of screws was the wrong size and type but a phone call on the Friday afternoon before a bank holiday resulted in correct replacement screws arriving the next day. Compliments to Matthew. The design is elegant although a few minor niggles are worth attention. The feet might be better served by covering the cluster of 8 nuts and bolts with a plastic boot. It might also be a good thing to offer the gazebo in a choice of two or three colours rather than just the default dark grey. It’s also unfortunate that the long sides of the roof frame consist of two sections spliced together. This results in an inevitable slight dip which means that rain falls from the midpoints of the long sides rather than using the corner downpipes. The rainwater channels are not really deep enough and will soon get clogged with tree debris and moss.’
