Q: Does it allow the light/sun to go through and should it be put on the plant for the full winter or only during frosty days?
A: It allows sunlight to pass through the layer. If you''re in a very cold area, you can leave the fleece on the plant for most of the winter you just need to check for dampness every once and a while. If you''re in a warmer area, you can just use the fleeces during cold snaps.
