50m Smartedge Flexible Lawn Edging - Black - H14cm

The edging product is very effective and robust. Installation takes time and effort to get right. Our soil is very light and crumbles easily, meaning that a nice vertical edge was difficult to maintain during fitting. On curved lines the edging had a tendency to move and draw soil back into the cleared section before it could be pegged down. Patience and persistence cured this and the finished job was worth the effort.

I was sold this product after viewing the installation video which made it appear relatively simple. However if you are unfortunate to live in an area as I do where the soil contains a lot of stones, some as large as a clenched fist, the securing pins are useless as they bend whenever they encounter a stone. After spending more than a frustrating half an hour getting nowhere with them I resorted to going to B&Q and purchasing zinc passivated approx 2/3 the length of the plastic pins and secured every clip which appeared to provide adequate fixing. As an aside the use of Parcelforce as the delivery contractor was a disaster. It took 9 days for the delivery from the depot, a total of 80 miles from my address, better using DPD. To conclude whilst I have some negative points the product itself is very good.

I created a curvey borders round my garden and produce large flower beds. But realised that I required a permanent edge to keep that sharp and neat look. After a lot of research I decided to but the smart edge system. I must say what a brilliant purchase took me 2 days as I have a large garden so required 50 metres. Also repaired the parameter of the lawn while shaping. Greenfingers also delivered the item within 4 days. Thanks Greenfingers for supplying this to me.
