Love this fire basket. It looks stylish and is well constructed. We used it for the first time last weekend and were very pleased with it. Several of our guests were impressed too and made favourable comments about it. One minus point is the very small ash tray - however this is negligible - and overall we are extremely pleased with our purchase. Recommended.

perfect for cooking & heating

It took my (Japanese) a while to realise that here in England we need heat in the garden in the summer! We didn't want a charcoal fuelled BBQ as we have a big wood store for our winter heating, and this is perfect for logs. It generates a nice heat and is lovely to cook fish, meat & veg on. Excellent quality too. Very happy.

Havent as yet set a fire, but spent many hours admiring it through the kitchen window. It took a couple of weeks to arrive (but then we had a large order of several items) Looks solid and managable. Had expected to have to do some self assembly (as with so many firebaskets), but was delighted to find it ready to go. A couple of slight scratches and missing paint areas on the ash tray ( not worth bothering with as we plan to repaint it this winter for protection anyway). Ash tray looks far too small for practical purposes, but should be enough to stop hot coals falling directly on the ground. Hoping to try it out next weekend for barbeque and as a garden heater...cant wait.

The basket arrived a few days after I ordered it and was well packed. It was already assembled but looked smaller than I had imagined. Anyway I put it to work in my garden and I was really surprised how well and quickly it burnt up the garden rubbish and there didn't seem to be that much ash either. I have a very big garden and a lot of rubbish so I was very pleased. Would make an excellent winter fire with logs for a patio in winter!

The product was well recieved, however when putting it together the basket had been damaged as had the foot stands. When put together it did not balance we had to support one leg by several mm of metal. Disappointing for someone who did not know what to do.

I use this mostly to keep warm while gardening in cold weather - it's deep enough to get a good fire going & puts out a lot of heat. Not so good as a bar-b-q because the grill is quite a distance from the fire. But foil wrapped potatoes bake nicely sitting on the base.

Arrived promptly & easy to assemble. Looks great in the garden but haven't actually used it yet. We only want it as a fire to warm us outside & not as a bbq so we're confident it'll do it's job.

A very expensive rust bucket. Useless as a BBQ unless prepared to wait several hours for food to cook.

We took the fire on a camping trip last week to Cornwall and Devon and can honestly say it was the best BBQ we had ever had! It was trial and error to begin with but we cooked when the coals were hot half way up the basket. It also kept us lovley and warm into the early hours!!

We're pleased with this fire basket. It was easy to assemble and is light enough to be moved quite easily. It looks nice, and, once you get the hang of lighting it, it provides a nice focal point. Realistically I wouldn't be trying to grill or BBQ on it in that you'd need a big fire to get sufficient 'hot coals' heat to the top where the grill rack sits. One small gripe- the ash tray on the floor beneath it could do with being a bit bigger, though the solid base of the firebox does contain most of the ash. And can you source a suitably sized cover for it?

Very good value as it was a sale item. Nice, not over fussy style. Bit heavy to move around unless you want to keep it in one place. Smaller pieces of wood tend to fall out, but overall it does what it should.

We bought this and
used it twice. One of the legs sheared off and we are not happy with the quality. The period was over a year so we felt we could not complain.

Great value fire basket which looks good on the patio. Kicks out a good heat source, although needs lots of topping up! Did rust after the first summer although it was stored in the garden shed. A coat of hammerite soon sorted it out.

Very pleased with the fast delivery and how easy it was to assemble. I have been searching for a firepit with a simple design for months and this is the first one that isn't fussy or too busy to the eye. As for using - it couldn't be easier and if you make use of different woods such as apple or cedar you get a great fragrance through the garden and it is eco friendly too! It is light to carry and of course the grill purpose is very useful for smaller informal BBQs. One of my best garden purchese!
