I constructed the swing bed whilst husband was at work, so no issues with instructions. Though takes two people for later stages (attaching swing to chains and canopy frame). As with many other reviewers, we didn't find assembly very easy and the instructions need to be clearer- however, it looks fantastic, is comfortable and having scoured the net I don't think you'll find anything that come close- when it comes back into stock- order one. absolutly brilliant posted on 30/07/2011 by sarahc1 this swing seat/bed is better than i could have imagined, it is comfortable and look great. the green canopy can be easily removed at night as it is fastened with velcro. it is plenty big enough for four people to sit on. my only complaint is that the insructions should be more detailed or have some written instructions as well. as it was a little confusing at time. i paid £5 extra to have it delivered in 3 working days and it came in 2 days so not bad going. but overall i am very pleased with my swing seat. Excellent quality posted on 17/07/2011 by klb This hardwood swing seat is excellent value and high quality, so we are sure that it will give us many hours of enjoyment! Here are a few construction tips, which we hope may help: 1. Apply plenty of teak oil before assembly, and let it dry for a day or two. 2. The seat back is actually a bit longer than the seat base, but the diagrams do not make this absolutely clear! 3. Tighten the bolts only finger tight at first, then tighten fully when everything that connects fits correctly. Except: do tighten the seat ends fully as you go, or else you will find that you cannot get at all of the bolts. 4. If you want to do as much assembly as possible under cover, without creating something which is too heavy to move easily or through a door or gate, it is possible to construct each of the A-frames separately before attaching them to the top beam, provided that you leave the bolts with a bit of play until the top beam is in place. There are of course some other minor niggles: it is a little tricky to assemble, and to convert between seat mode and bed mode (the extra weight of the seat back contributes to the difficulty in switching modes); the cushion is good, but not very thick (and hard to replace or supplement), and it isn't easy to find matching end cushions either. It was put together on Saturday morning with no trouble. It Looks lovely and its very comfortable... Worth every penny!!! swing heaven posted on 09/06/2011 by bevansky My husband and 14 yr old son were able to put this together in the afternoon before I got home It is comfortable and cosy although as a bed it could do with a little extra padding. It is solid and swings beautifully even with three adults relaxing on it. The awning did lose some of its velcro fixings during 2 days of gale force winds but they were easily sewn back on and common sense says to take this off in future.
