Last order dates: To guarantee delivery before Christmas, customers should place their order before midnight on Thursday 18th December on a Standard Delivery service, or before 12noon on Monday 22nd December on an Express Delivery service.

Express Despatch

All items showing our 24hr icon are guaranteed to be despatched within 1 working day of your order being placed* if you select our "Express Delivery" option at checkout; in fact if your order is received before 12 noon then these orders are guaranteed to be despatched the same day.

We've reduced our standard shipping charge!
In an effort to save on our customers shipping costs we've reduced the standard delivery charge on many of our smaller items to just £2.99. Items showing our envelope icon qualify.

 
Van Icon

For items that require us to use a parcel courier service (indicated by our van icon) our standard delivery charge is £4.99.

 
Heavy Items

Items showing our heavy load symbol are bulky or have awkward dimensions and require us to use a more expensive courier service. The delivery charge for these items start from £9.99.

 
The total cost of delivering your items will be calculated at the basket. You will only be charged for the most expensive item to ship in your order.

We aim to deliver your entire order using our Standard Delivery option within 7 days*.
The highly seasonal nature of our business is such that our actual performance against this aim can vary so we always show (at the top of every page) our actual despatch performance.

 

As you can see, we are beating this aim for the vast majority of orders as  94.1% of orders have been despatched within 3 days of the order being placed in the last week. We are still not satisfied with this performance though and are striving to improve. The vast majority of our orders are despatched within 2 weeks and we do guarantee to despatch all orders within 28 days. Remember if the “Priority Despatch” option is available you can ensure your order reaches you within 5 working days. We are working hard to ensure our delivery performance improves and you can see how we are doing as the despatch performance number is updated daily.

 

Please note in some case we allow customers to reserve stock by placing an order with us before the stock is in our warehouse and ready for despatch – in such cases there is a specific note on the product page to this effect and the above delivery timings of course do not apply.

For orders placed over the phone we apply an additional £1.99 charge to cover the cost of our customer service staff (and to encourage you to order online; it's cheaper for us if you do!). Delivery surcharges apply to some postcodes (see below).

 
*Deliveries are made Monday-Friday 8.30am - 5.30pm, and we do not offer a Saturday delivery.

Delivery procedure

The majority of goods are shipped from our central warehouse; a few products are shipped from other locations and in these cases you may receive more than one delivery.

IMPORTANT: When signing for the delivery, if there is any damage to the box at all please sign for as "damaged" or do not accept the delivery. All items damaged in transit must be notified to us by calling 01506 605157 or sending an email to info@greenfingers.com within 48 hours of delivery. Failure to do this may result in the item not being replaced.

Please note that the vast majority of products on our site are flatpacked so some assembly will be required.

Tracking your order

You are able to track the progress of any order once it has been despatched by clicking on the Account history link found in the navigation bar along the bottom of every page on our website. This will show you the details of every order you have placed with us. By clicking on the appropriate invoice number you will see the status of your order. Alternatively you can telephone Customer services on 0845 345 0728, give them the invoice number and find out the order status.

The legal stuff

When you place an order you will receive a confirmation e-mail. This e-mail does not constitute acceptance amounting to a contract; acceptance takes place when the product is despatched, until which time Greenfingers.com are entitled to withdraw the offer.

Greenfingers.com will not be liable for any loss caused to you by late delivery and will not be liable for any loss or damage to goods once they have been delivered in accordance with your delivery instructions.
