DescriptionIf you want an easy, hassle-free way to water your plants that you are growing in grow bags the these Botanico Growbag Watering Pots are the solution! The large capacity reservoir of each unit delivers the water directly to the roots where it is needed the most. When used in conjunction with traditional growing bags, the central raised pot creates a deeper planting depth to encourage a more extensive root system to develop.
Ideal for use with tomatoes, aubergines, cucumbers, peppers and many other seasonal fruit and vegetable plants.
All you do is remove the plastic sections from the grow bag and push the grow bag watering pots into the surface of the growing media until level with the reservoir base. Then position the plant in the central pot and fill with a similar type of compost used in the grow bag or border. Water the plants thoroughly using the central pot to settle the compost around the root ball of the plants. Initially you will need to water the plants using the central pot - until the roots have had time to grow down into the surrounding growing media. This will take approximately 2 weeks. After this initial period you can deliver the water into the outer reservoir, adjusting the amount of water depending on the size of the plants and temperature. Make drainage holes in the bag - so any excess water can drain away.

Great anti slugsnail properties posted on 16/08/2014 by gaynorelizabeth
I have tried these with my toms and runner beans this year and find that I have had minimal slug and snail attack They def deter the little creatures who must go in search of easier pickings Also I have been putting porridge oats down in various spots The slugs eat it and get so fat they roll over and the birds pick them off Or at least they are too full to bother with your plants My beans are fab this year and no attacks at all Next year I will use these watering pots for all my new plants and veg This is a good price for them

Saw these and thought what a brilliant idea Water is directed straight to the roots and easier to direct the hose Also useful for being able to stick supports into the added height
arrived quickly and is now in use posted on 02/06/2014 by ayjay
appears to be working but tomato plants still too small to judge

If youre a bit erratic with your greenhouse watering youll know theres nothing worse than trying to water a dry grobag This is a simple product that easily solves this annoying problem Only had them a few weeks so cant comment on durability but with a little care no reason why they shouldnt last a few years
