This plant is an evergreen perennial originating from Brazil. It is notable for its striking flower panicles. A fibrous-rooted begonia. The leaves have white spots and are to 16cm or more long. The lowers are pale pink or white. Begonias are also susceptible to botrytis, stem rot and mites and thrips.

It's shape is described as upright. It grows to a height of 1m and 0.3m in width. It has lobed foliage that is green. It produces flowers during early summer that are white in colour.

This is a tender plant. It requires a medium and well drained soil, preferring semi-shade, and a position in a conservatory or indoors.
